Abstract. We study the correspondence between Christoffel and Cartan symbols and construct a commutative diagram which relates the nonlinear Janet sequences for the k$^{th}$ order Christoffel and Cartan symbols and the nonlinear gauge sequence for the k$^{th}$ order coframe bundle.
