CHARACTERIZATIONS OF sn-METRIZABLE SPACESYing GeDepartment of Mathematics, Suzhou University, Suzhou 215006, ChinaAbstract: We give some characterizations of $sn$-metrizable spaces. We prove that a space is an $sn$-metrizable space if and only if it has a locally-finite point-star $sn$-network. As an application of the result, a space is an $sn$-metrizable space if and only if it is a sequentially quotient, $\pi$ (compact), $\sigma$-image of a metric space. Keywords: $sn$-metrizable space; point star network; $sn$-network; $\sigma$-map; sequentially quotient map; $\pi$-map Classification (MSC2000): 54C10; 54D50; 54D55; 54E99 Full text of the article: (for faster download, first choose a mirror)
