Approximation of functions of two variables

Abstract.
We introduce certain positive linear operators
in weighted spaces of functions of two variables and we study
approximation properties of these operators. We give theorems on
the degree of approximation of functions from polynomial and
exponential weighted spaces by introduced operators, using norms
of these spaces.
